Ways you can help!

FISH4Kids Volunteer Work

In June and July of each year:

1. Assembly of lunches: 9:30am - 10:30am

Older children, teens, and adults are welcome- church and civic groups are welcome

2. Clean-up & Next Day Prep: 10:30am - 12:00am

Monroe & Loganville
Store Hours: Monday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Shifts available:  9:00 AM – 1:00 PM & 1:00 – 5:00 PM


​THINGS YOU CAN DO AS A VOLUNTEER:

  • Sorting through merchandise, checking for the quality of items in the following categories:

    • Clothes

    • Home Goods

    • Electronics

  • Donation Attendants –help to unload donated items and assist in loading purchased items for customers. Complete initial sorting of items on the dock. Must be able to lift 30 - 50 lbs.

  • Truck Helpers – ride in the FISH truck to help pick up donations in Walton County and transport them to the thrift stores.

FISH Ministry Office

Hours/Shift times:

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM​

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    ​

THINGS YOU CAN DO AS A VOLUNTEER:

  • Front Desk Workers - Responsibilities include welcoming clients, pulling folders, answering phones and taking applications.

  • Receptionist – Responsible for answering ministry phone and directing phone calls.

  • Food Receptionist – Assist clients with Fish Care and emergency food paperwork.

  • Intake Counselor - Responsible for reviewing verification lists with clients and examining completed applications.

FISH Food Pantry

Hours/Shifts: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM


THINGS YOU CAN DO AS A VOLUNTEER:

  • Pantry Workers – This position fills Fish Care Food Boxes and/or loads boxes into client’s vehicles after their appointments.

  • Pantry Stockers – This position stocks the food pantry shelves with delivered items.

FISH Medical Clinic

  • Medical Office Work

  • DoctorPhysician’s Assistant

  • Nurse

  • Medical practitioners in other fields who would like to volunteer in the clinic.

  • Pharmacist

Hours: Monday through and Friday
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM except Tuesday which is 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

  • ​Help prepare and serve a hot lunch for 50 - 75 people
