People are shocked to hear that 1 out of 5 children in Walton County are at risk of going to bed hungry.

FISH4Kids was started 19 years ago to bless the children of Walton County. Unfortunately, the greatest barrier
we continue to see is a lack of nutritious food. With inflation, especially high food prices, families are struggling to make ends meet. Many children receive their most nutritious meals at school and, when school is out, they are in danger of going hungry.

FISH4Kids works to ensure that no child in Walton County goes hungry during the summer. For $75, a child receives 54 sack lunches for the summer and a back-to-school hygiene kit.

We are grateful for the wonderful community we live in and that working together makes things happen in a big way!
FISH4Kids is supported by individuals, churches, local businesses, and fundraisers like the Ed Reinagel Memorial Golf Tournament each year. Through the years FISH4Kids has made and delivered more than 3 million sack lunches!

Each Summer the program feeds 2,000 children six days a week. Wonderful volunteers prepare and deliver 2 lunches to each child on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday while school is out - for a total 12,000 per week! The lunches are delivered door to door throughout Walton County on streets where 90% or more of the children qualify for free or reduced cost school meals. The lunch tells a child that someone cares and gives them HOPE!
